Default Jobs, housing. Is Colorado solid

I have lived in the Bay Area of California all my life and my wife is from Parker Colorado. For some years now I have been getting tired of the California rat race. Everything else is giong very well for my family so my desire to relocate always hits the notion that Colorado will go bust and jobs will be hard to find? Help me out, does Colorado have a solid groth plan and will housing level out soon?

Housing is in a bit of a rut now due to subprime lending mess, but unemployment is at a multi-year low, and as far as I can tell the technology jobs situation is better now than at any time this decade. You have to go back to the boom years of the late 90s and the dot-com mania to find anything better.

Of course, a nationwide recession will have an impact here, if one happens. But in that case I think the jobs situation will be bad in most other places as well.
