Iowa Has an interactive public access tool that allows online users to view County information. Beacon Home
The best part about it is the ability to view an interactive map of the County’s GIS data and aerial photography. Zoom in and learn allot about the property. Sales dates and amounts, assessed value. etc etc

Does Colorado use anything like Beacon? I sure hope so.. Because it would take forever without something like it. Most of the properties I'm looking at are bare land. No address.

Some jurisdictions do, some don't. You'll have to go to the county website and find their mapping department.

The Mesa County GIS department in western Colorado has a very good interactive website. They also offer a lot great data and aerial photos to download for free. I work in GIS so I've had to access some of this information. Surrounding counties, not always so good. Some want you to pay for their data.
