Big Spiders In Highlands Ranch Co
i read a post on someone worried about moving here from cali because of the spiders and snakes , if i can post pics as new user i will , i have had 3 wolf spiders the size of my hand in the last week in my driveway , they look like tranchulas ( spelling ?) 2 of them were in the driveway during the day ,and the one last night was on the sidewalk as i walked to the door with no lights on outside then turned the lights on and turned around there he was , i must have been within an ich of him , its like a horror movie .

eeewww! I live in HR and haven't seen anything like that yet. I hope I don't! Are they dangerous, or just big?

Spider spray? No!
Wikipedia says:
[Wolf Spiders] patrol our pastures and fields and are an important natural control on harmful insects.
....
The wolf spiders are capable of giving defensive bites, and some South American species may give bites that are medically significant. However, in general their presence works very much in favor of humans wherever they are found.
