Hooray for the firefighters! There was a tree that was hit by lightning last night north of Nederland that was extinguished quickly. Everyone is on high alert up here. These dry thunderstorms suck!

And every time a logging permit comes up around here the San Juan Citizens Alliance files lawsuits against it and win.Guess they would rather see the forest burn than be managed. stupid greenies need to get a brain. Canadian cedar is ok as they are still allowed to log it. most of trim I install is from Chile. go figure let our wood burn rather than use it,same crap every year

Oh but Honey, don't you realize that wildfires are "natural"? It doesn't matter to those dipshidiot tree huggers that many of these devastating fires could be avoided by proper forest management and selective culling of trees.

Their website says:
The Mishawaka Still Stands! However, due to the fire we remain closed and several events have been cancelled. http://themishawaka.com/

Third fire this week around Lake George....highly suspicious IMO....this latest one is called the Springer Fire.

There are reports that someone witnessed a person shooting at a propane cylinder up there today. Hmmmm?
