Default Relocating to Colorado--best city for a female in her 30's??

I am from Santa Monica, CA and I will be relocating to Colorado. Fortunately, I get to choose the city. Which city is the most "international"? I am used to a mixed population and going to different kinds of restaurants: Brazilian, Mexican, etc. I am more of a city girl, but I do love nature. What city is the best for a single female in her 30's? Is public transportation good (it's not in Los Angeles)? And the weather? Thanks!

Regarding weather, search this forum and look at the City-Data information on the main page of each city you are interested in.

Interesting that you can pick the city, I would think that the city would pick you as your job would dictate where you are going to live. Out of curiosity, what line of work are you in? How is it that you are relocating and get to pick any city?

I am from LA too, grew up in the SFV. Denver is the biggest city obviously and therefore has the most diversity of culture, eateries, entertainment, that sort of thing. The traffic in Denver is absolutely nothing compared to SoCal. Plus (and maybe because of) there are these commuter trains that seem to travel all over the place. On top of that, and this is really cool, there is this bus service called FREX which runs between Colorado Springs and Denver with FREE wireless high speed internet on bus.
Also, since the Denver metro is about one eighth the footprint of the LA/OC metro, you won't have a hard time leaving the city and getting to the mountains or nature. Put it this way, imagine Denver as Redlands and the mountains as Big Bear. - not too far away. In SoCal, it is such a hassle to spontaneously get out of town for a day.
