You know, which town has best river views, most mature trees, better architecture, attractive vistas, which town generally shows itself better to a visitor?

Tough call. I will vote Sterling and I prefer the prairie to irrigated corn fields (& I'm a Pawnee Grasslands fan). YMMV

Ft Morgan certainly has better access to DEN and amenities there (if that is of importance).

Ft Morgan seems to have a bit more going on with business economy. Will you have employment, or looking for some? Need a college or the benefit that brings to the community? If so I would research that offering and associated programs.

Neither. I was in both last summer, and definitely thought Fort Morgan had more to offer, but I wouldn't put scenery on the map of either.

I'll go with Ft. Morgan, but it gets my vote ever so slightly.
