Not everyone is interested in just the Denver areas. Why isnt there a seperate forum? Just making a suggestion

Actually, a rural Colorado forum would be even better. Culturally and geographically, the non-resort areas of eastern and western Colorado have more in common with one another than they do with either the Front Range or the resort areas.

It's like having to watch Denver News from Delta or Ouray Counties. No one here cares about the daily murders in Aurora and I'm sure not going to drive 400 miles one way to buy a car.

I agree to a western slope sub forum.

Even with enough threads to qualify, I can't get a forum for the S.E. corner of COLO (starting at Canon City, go both east to KS and south to NM). It would include Canon City, Pueblo West, Pueblo, Rye, Walsenburg, Trinidad and the SE corner with Lamar, Springfield, La Junta, Rocky Ford, Branson, etc). I've pitched it several times to no avail.

I don't think there's anyway the site owner would create a western slope forum, unless he changes his criteria for the whole website to divide-up all the states into sections that cover the total state. I like the idea, but he keeps his own counsel and strategy.

I have seen with forums before, the more subforums you get the more confusing it gets and the more traffic goes down because discussions get split and it all gets too much to navigate, as many topics might be suitable for 2 subforums, but only one group of people might see them. For instance, I don't check the Denver forum much and as a result have probably missed a bunch of great threads I could have commented on.

I can understand if you have a state with like one or two big cities getting those cities separate forums, but otherwise, I think it's a mistake.

FWIW: Craigslist has 8 forums for COLO, we have 4 city forums and 1 state forum. I don't expect more sub-forums in COLO.

I'm actually quite surprised by this. I don't know how many threads are required to open up a sub-forum, but we just had two new sub-forums created on the Oregon forum. I like having a Bend forum now (although I think it should be changed to Central Oregon rather than just Bend) because I don't have to search through all the state comments to find stuff relevant. I don't think the Oregon forum got more threads about Bend or Central Oregon than the Colorado forum does about Grand Junction or the Western Slope.
