Default Where to live semi-close to Hugo, CO

Hi Coloradans!

My husband started work in Hugo, CO a few weeks ago. He likes it and he'll probably keep this job permanently. He got a little rental home in Limon, CO for the immediate term, but we are thinking about where we might want to buy a place. Limon is a nice, friendly little town and we might stay here, but we would like to explore our options.

Here's what we need: 45 minute or less commute to Hugo for the husband.
And what we want: A little piece of land, 30 acres or so, we were thinking put a trailer on it while we build a home. Or a newer construction home already built would be fine. We want to move Westward towards Denver and CO Springs, not away. We like the prospect of being able to zip over to these cities for some fun, to use the airport, and plus, I may work in that direction eventually.

Any opinions on Matheson? Simla? River Bend? Cedar Point? Agate? These are just little dots I saw on the map near us, any suggestions or opinions appreciated.
