I too have never heard of this as an organized team activity... I've done it a few times, but hardly in a league situation. I've done it with softball too, but it is hard to catch a ball, find a way to secure your beer and then throw the ball without dropping said beer. Of course, after a few innings we never cared quite as much as we did early in the game.

I played weekly kickball two summers ago and then we'd drink beer after the game. Drink in hand sounds even better!

I don't think people on this board recognize the magnitude of this situation. Here we all are, jibber-jabbering about various topics, accomplishing what exactly? Now along comes NativeColoradoGirl with a simple, perfectly reasonable request. She wants us to help her achieve her goal of playing drink-in-hand-kickball. And the best we can do is make pithy comments? COME ON CITY-DATA COLORADO!!!! Can't we pull together and accomplish this one simple thing? For the love of all that is good, get this young lady on a drink-in-hand-kickball team! I looked up the websites for Denver beer-in-hand-kickball (there are two) but a review of her post indicates to me what she needs is a personal introduction. Are you telling me all you City Data people who live in Denver can't start asking everyone you know how we can get NativeColoradoGirl on a drink-in-hand-kickball team? This girl is ready to rock and roll! I live in the Springs now but I am going to make a personal commitment to call all my single buddies still in Denver and see if I can't shake up some data on a drink-in-hand-kickball team that needs a female ready to get her drink-in-hand-kickball groove on. If 10 of us made a serious effort to get NativeColoradoGirl on a drink-in-hand-kickball team, you're telling me she'd not be spilling cheap beer out her red plastic cup in less than two weeks? Come on now!! Maybe she'd even give us weekly updates. That would be SWEET. Keep this thread going all summer. Where you at City Data Denver peeps????

We have a bar here in DC with a bocce court on the back patio where you can do that. At family get togethers though we often play jello shot croquet.

I have seen this played several times in Alamo Placito Park; not sure if it's a formal league of any kind. There are some formal bike riding groups in Wash Park area that cylce around and drink heavily at local pubs IE...Campus Lounge, South Gaylord, ect.

We call that bongo keg ball and it originated in Greeley back in the early 80s.
