Breckenridge Winter Season (Help!)
Well I really don't know if this is the right forum.. but I'm kindda desperate..
My name is Fernando, I'm 22 years old and I'm from Argentina. I'm posting this because I'm arriving to Breckenridge, CO. on December 15, and I'm planning to stay and work all winter season.
I got a J1 visa and Argentine/Spanish nationality.
The problem is that the guy who was going to hire me, said me last week that he has already hired he's own nephew. I already paid my trip, prepared my skis... but, now I lost my job.
If anyone can help me.. I'll really appreciate it..
My English it's pretty good, I went all my junior and high school to a bilingual institution. I sat for the I.G.S.C.E (Cambridge International General Certificate of Secondary Education) exam and got a full diploma.
Actually in Buenos Aires I'm in the Law School and also studying journalism.
I got plenty of knowledge in computers (Windows, Internet, Word, Excel, Access, etc.). My high school degree it's "Software Technician" (I don't know the exact translation in the U.S, but i know a lot about computer programming Basic/VB/C++/C#/Java).
I play Rugby in the first team of my club (Deportiva Francesa) and I also coach a division called "Mosquitos", formed by kids between 4 and 8 years old.
If anyone can help me, or there's anything else you need to know (ANYTHING) just e-mail me.
fernandorey@gmail.com
Thx, a lot...

Do yourself a favor and post your question on the TGR forums. You'll get much better responses from people who actually do/have done what you're doing.
There are jobs in the area, but most of them are for waiting tables, working at a bar, or at the resort (as a liftie) and stuff. It'd be hard to get a job just for the winter season in tech. There are many South Americans (including a sizeable Argentinian contingent) in the Summit County area.

Expand your search to the other nearby resorts, Vail, Beaver Creek, Copper Mountain, Aspen, Snowmass, Steamboat Springs and Winter Park. They are all easily accessable from either the Denver or Eagle airports. Depending on your interests, you should also speak to the resorts themselves, and mountain real estate agents. During the ski season they are anxious to have people who can assist in guiding Argentinian (and other similar-speaking countries) guests either as a host, guide or interpreter.
BTW, waiting tables in the right restaurants can be very rewarding, and you can still ski most of the day. Legal aliens are very desirable in these areas.

Well.. I already got a job!
;-)
But know we are searching for acommodation...
If anyone know of any house/condo (near or with access to Breck Town / Shuttle) for 6 ppl.
We are checking in ..VRBO® is Vacation Rentals by Owner® Vacation Homes Rentals by Owner but most of them are only for short term periods.
We are searching for a cheap option (like 3000 month max. ) for 2BR at least.
If nobody knows, can smdby please assessor me at least where to search? Which neighborhood it's more convenient for the type of accommodation we require? It's possible to pay that price for that type of house? and any other info that you think it will help us.
Thx!

Look up the classified ads in the local paper, the Summit Daily. Rentals offered, as well as people looking for roommates to share a place.
Btw, congratulations on landing a job so quickly! Way to go!

Have you asked your prospective employer? Then, I would look for the list of individual condominiums and ask them if they have owner-rental programs that are not run through a management company.
