They're all used legally for recreation, and if misused all are potentially dangerous.

There's some logic for you to ponder.
And in order to drive a car legally, I have to have a certification. In order to own an AR-15, I need a clean background. No permit, no training, no certification necessary. Pass the background check and an object specifically designed for killing is mine. Some more logic for you to ponder.

Ironic that we require proper certification to fly an airplane or drive a car but any adult idiot with two brain cells can own a gun.

After the senseless slaughter in Norway last year, in a country with very strict gun control, should Norway be declared the murder capitol of the world? India also has very strict gun control, but look what happened when evil men decided to slaughter innocents in Mumbai? Evil men murder. No laws can prevent evil.

Driving a car or flying an airplane are not rights guaranteed by the US Constitution. The right to keep and bear arms is.

Where is the outcry against the automoble, which is involved in far more deaths each year than guns?

Unless you're a convicted felon.

That is an unconstitutional infringement IMHO, that has not as yet been contested to the Supreme Court.

You wouldn't recognize logic if Aristotle himself knocked on your door with a plateful of it.

Here in Colorado car rollovers are prevalent enough to rise to the level of a state pastime...people by the tens of thousands put everyone around them at risk as they drive distracted with a cell phone up to their ears or worse, with their heads down texting...and your precious certification hasn't made a dent in the number of idiots driving intoxicated. Fat lot of good that certification is doing.

We're talking about a guy that planned this attack for months. A guy with no priors and smart enough to be in a Ph.D. program. You think he couldn't have gotten a permit?

And ever funnier...you're telling us that if the Aurora Idiot were to have been professionally trained in the use of his AR-15 and certified as a safe shooter, that would have made it better and stopped him? Really, this could have been stopped if he'd had better TRAINING and had been CERTIFIED in the use of his chosen weapon??????????

Do you read what you're writing before you click on the "Submit" button??!!

If we did like the Israelites and took convicted felons out to the edge of town and stoned them to death, the constitutionality of stripping convicted felons of their 2nd Amendment rights would be moot.

Just sayin'
