Great post. I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees it for what it is...

As for who will win, I think that Obama will take Denver, Boulder, and Pueblo while Romney will have the rest. I'm not fond of either one of them. The one thing I'm sure of is that the middle class is going to get screwed. The only difference is how.....

This is that "the lesser of two evils" election. Unfortunately there isn't really one of those this time. Anyway, we could elect robot chicken and nothing would change. It's all about lining pockets with big money. No one in DC cares about the regular folk, and they sure cannot relate to us in their top hats and coats and $10,000 a plate lunches.

Anyway, I think liberal places like Denver, Colorado Springs, Telluride, Ridgway will carry Obama. The rest of us normal folk Romney.

JIM: Colo Spgs has never been thought of as liberal. The GOP consistently gets 60% of the vote here, year after year.

That we can count on.....no matter who wins! A Robama win will tighten the screws from the right, and an Obamney win will tighten the screws from the left. The only consistency is that the middle class will get screwed....one way or the other.

All the current polls I have seen from both liberal and conservative media outlets show Romney ahead here in Colorado. This is a purple state which is generally moving more to the red IMO at least fiscally. Some of the more liberal mountain town pockets are often made up of out of state second home owners. Eastern Boulder County is not as liberal as some tend to believe, conversely Western Colorado Springs area has some down right militant liberal pockets or at least Manitou/Crytal Park tends to lean that way. Cherry Creek/Wash park and much of central Denver is very liberal but not in a crunchy Portland kind of way. Jefferson County strikes me as more indpendent/libertarian and conservative. These are just my own personal observations and opinions.

Dont forget the corporate handouts. They love to get their government contracts. They love to make it off the backs of the tax payers.

Also, do you know who advocates the most for goverment hand outs? Retailers do. Mostly grocery, but retails in general love it.

This is easy money for them and they are very happy to keep the easy money coming their way.

^^^^If the real world allotment of taxpayer money was ever honesty revealed, I'm betting that the amount of $$$$$ funnelled into corporate welfare, makes the amount of $$$ funnelled into social welfare look like chump change.
