I'm a teacher, I coach football and basketball, primarily basketball. Being from southern Indiana, basketball and football are HUGE here. What is it like in Colorado? Here its not uncommon for a high school basketball coach to make $10,000, and thats a small rural school. I would think there more individual sport like skiing out there.

Hey there-

From what I understand coaches make a $2-3000 a season. For high school. So, we are pretty far off from what you make there. However, I am not 100% sure of that. Are you thinking of moving here? What is the cost of living like there compared to here? Shep

I could care less about the pay, well thats not totally true, but, its not that big a deal. I do it because I love sports and working with kids.

Cost of living is WAY cheaper here. It also looks like the starting teacher salary is about $3-$4,000 lower in Colorado.

So, are you considering Colorado? I know that Larkspur Colorado's pay is better. It is in between Colorado Springs and Denver, beautiful area. I have alot of friend in the Academic arena, if you are considering it. Do you have your masters? SHEP
