Can anyone comment on like Vail, Copper Mountain areas? thinking about heading out that way this weekend

Or if anyone has any other suggestions < 2 hours or so from Denver? Already done peak to peak and 285 to Kenosha pass

There have been lots of photos of Silverthorne on 9News weather each night - looks like peak there too. The Vail webcams show a lot of gold.

The trees look great around Cripple Creek and Victor. There are a few green ones, so I think next weekend will be it.

snikt....must have been a great hike! In about an hour, I'm heading up to the Grand Mesa for a hike on the Crag Crest Trail.

We went up Guanella Pass from Georgetown to the summit, and many of the trees were already bare. There was also a lot of traffic. Next year, we're going on a weekday!
