I finally got motivated and did a mini road trip to Montrose. First thing I did? Wash my car! Temperature outside? Felt like 45, I'll let Jim post the exact temp here! Was a relief, Fruita's temp has been consistently the lowest in the valley for weeks and the low this morning was minus 10. But that's January on the western slope-never a big surprise to me. Yesterday's temperature in Telluride-41 degrees.

Talked to a friend of mine who lives west of Salt Lake. The past week they have been coming in with the nations dirtiest air with several air pollution alerts given in the past several days. And like Telluride, Park City has been coming in with temperatures 15 to 20 degrees higher than the valley cities. Their temperature yesterday was 45.

My suv was showing 73 degrees today in Pueblo and I hear it will be in the 70's again tomorrow. In a way I would call this summer like weather.

It was 40 at my house today for a high. VERY pleasant, long sleeve shirt weather. I do enjoy so much the Denver weather guys grinning about their "record highs" while ignoring those of us on the western slope who have been in an icebox for 6 weeks.

I was sitting out by the pool at Weisbaden Hot Springs this afternoon. Got some color on my skin. I didn't see a thermometer, but I'm guessing the temp must have been close to 45. After all of the below freezing days in GJ, it felt like summer. Going thru Delta on the way back to GJ, the temp was 45 at 4:45 PM.

Clouds moving in with rain (what's "rain"?) forecast for Friday, then snow Saturday through Tuesday and temps dropping for my part of the state. YAY!

Talk about summer like weather on the Front Range Urban Corridor. The forecast is for low 70's at the Pueblo airport which means in downtown it could unofficially get to the upper 70's. Pueblo could have a record high today....

^^^^Nothing like a bit of salt in the wounds of the winter weary western slopers.

Then I guess you don't want to see this. This is what my SUV is showing what Pueblo is at 2:30 PM.

As a side note. It was 7 degrees for the low yesterday in Pueblo and in downtown low 70's for the high. That was colder then Las Vegas Nevada in the morning and warmer then they were in the afternoon. The same will be true for today.

I don't know what the official high was today but the wind picked up this afternoon and on my suv the temperature jumped up into the low 70's once again. It is usually pretty accurate so I am going with it.

A front has pushed in some warm air, right around downtown Gj temps are 40 degrees. The other side of that coin is that the front pushing in the warmer air forecasts rain, possible flurries into Friday night and temps are dropping to the mid 20's again.
