Do ski resorts charge parking fees? I am looking mostly at A-Basin, Keystone, Breckenridge. I would be driving up for the day or staying in Silverthorne/Frisco and wondered what the parking situation was.

Parking is free at A Basin and at Keystone in the Montezuma, Pika and Tenderfoot lots.

Keystone, Breck, and A-Basin all have both free and paid lots. As expected, free lots require a bit more walk or using a shuttle bus.

Yes. The close-in lot, right next to/behind the ticket office (above the main free lot) is paid during the main part of the season (I'm not sure how well they monitor it though -- it doesn't have a gate or anything).

From their website: Arapahoe Basin Ski Area | Parking

Once you arrive at A-Basin, there are four parking lots: the Early Riser parking lot is located directly adjacent to the mountain between the Black Mountain Express and Pallavicini lifts; the High-Noon parking lot is located a few hundred yards east (up towards Loveland Pass) of the Base Area; the Last Chance parking lot is further still up Loveland Pass; and the Administration Lot (the smallest) is located directly outside the Guest Services Building and the Ticket/Season Pass Office adjacent to the base area.
All parking at A-Basin is free with the exception of the Administration Lot. There is usually a charge to park in this lot on weekends and holidays.
Carpooling: On Saturdays and Sundays in April and May, carpool with 4 or more people and we'll save you a space in our Early Riser lot.

At Breck I usually park in the gondola lot, walk across the street and take the gondola up to peak 7 or 8 base. You can also catch a shuttle from this lot if you want to head to peak 9. Once there is enough snow, there is a trail that takes you back almost to the gondola south lot (just have to cross the street).

If you are going on weekends, get there before 8am to avoid lines parking and at the gondola.
