you know if they can predict the amount of hurricanes, why cant they have a go at a guess on blizzards?
|
I feel sorry for the weather people here. They predict snow and you get it but 2 miles away they get nothing. You think they hit it right and your neighbor is wondering how much they get paid. In SoCal you can see weather developing out in the Pacific. In CO the mountains seem to tear things up.

Bummer...7:30am at 9,000': 16 degrees F, no snow anywhere, not a cloud in the sky.

It was so bad this winter - I work in the Tech Center and drove home to Castle Rock. It was barely snowing when I left and by the time I got home there was a foot and a half of snow on the ground!! What do they say this winter is supposed to be? I've heard worse and I've heard better...does anyone know?

All I heard last Winter was that this was a "once-in-a-lifetime storm," and "we never get weather like this," and "this is SO unusual for the Front Range," so I'm hoping they were right!

I would say last winter was the worst in the 27 that I have been here. Only one other winter had more continous snow cover (1992-93). Many winters have been very mild and sunny with only a few snows. My kids hardly ever had a snow day from school.
