Better take your rock board to a-basin. I saw some pics of the coverage and it's not very good -- it will tear your equipment up until it gets a bit more coverage so be careful.

It snowed from Saturday evening through Sunday night. Everything is white. There was maybe 9 inches on my deck yesterday afternoon. This morning...

Pikes Peak area
Pikes Peak has been bare of snow for months. Not today. There is a lot of snow up there this morning and on nearby peaks.
One ski area opened last week, Arapahoe Basin (A-Basin), first one in the country to open. More will follow soon enough.
I'm ready for this. My buddy from Florida arrives tomorrow, not sure HE is ready for this!

I don't think it snowed in Denver -- snowline was around 6,500' I believe. It snowed where I live, Silverthorne.

Friends report skiing A-Basin yesterday ... on 6" of fresh powder on the terrain that was open. It was pretty crowded, as the early season folks head up the hill.
Vail friends report that the snowfall is still very marginal, rather slushy and not sticking yet. But it's pretty early to see how a season opener will shape up next month. Temps not as cold yet as needed for good coverage.
