We are planning a trip over thanksgiving and I'm looking at making reservations in Estes Park for a few days (the rest of my trip will be in CS an DEN looking at living there).

I was looking at some cabins called the Evergreens on Fall River- off Fish Hatchery road. Anyone have an opinion? Or a better option? I'm getting a 2bed room duplex cabin for $155/night. I'm so scared to make a reservation anywhere because I don't want to get all the way there and spent that much money on a dump!

Can't recall that place in particular, but there are lots of nice cabins that abut the river, never seen inside. Check out AAA and see what they list it as? Sounds like a nice trip! Hard thing about cabins in a "hunting" town, is that often they are not taking great care of cuz' the "men" have masked/musked themselves. What kind of "sport" is that...???

By and by, $155/night is probably about right and will give you basic, clean accomadations.

Default Estes

Yes, that place is perfectly fine. My brother stayed there and really liked it. (He lives in Denver). Clean, quiet and they loved the river/stream. Nothing in Estes is 5 Star - but it is quaint and nice and has anything you will need. It is just different than staying in a Hotel in the City. It's a great place to go from the city and feel like you spent a weekend in the mountains. I think you would like it. Good luck on your trip and move.
