We are planning to relocate to cs in about six mos. We are mid forties, kids grown. We have lived in the the south bay area (CA) all of our lives. What is the area really like? We have heard many things and are uncertain what we may get ourselves into. We will be buying a home and we like the powers area from what we have seen so far.

Have you ever been here before?
Why do you want to move here?
Where on Powers do you like?
What is your housing budget?
What line of work are you in?
Where do you expect to work?

Colorado is a large state. You have mountain - think Tahoe/Truckee. You have city - think more San Jose than San Fran. You have suburbs - think Sunnyvale. You have plains/rural think Gilroy.

A really good thread to dive into would be:

Why Choose Colorado Springs?

It's a lot of reading but you can learn about C Springs (if in fact that's what you meant as you meantioned Powers and that's a majority artery here).

Let's try this again.
