The 300+ inches of snow fall are for select areas.

Here in Colorado Springs, we had a brief snow shower that lightened the grass, and a couple sprinkles one day, but otherwise, no precipitation.

If the ski resorts depended on natural snow for skiing this year, there would be lots of ski areas out of business after this drought.

Actually you are right in the middle of it. Denver is US Capitol West. It's got more federal employees than any metro area west of the Mississippi.

It's not the same, by a longshot.

The main thing Denver and DC have in common is the letter D!

Denver, boulder have nothing to do with the rest of our great state. SW CO is just a stepchild of CO. but we can still watch the Broncos on NM tv.

I think we get the best of all four seasons, and our weather can definitely be invigorating, though usually it is sunny! I love the abundance of outdoor recreational activities. Plus, honestly, I don't think the scenery of the Rocky Mountains can be beat! I love the dryness, the lack of humidity and bugs. Plus I LOVE MEXICAN FOOD! We have the best of it here! And the people are generally very laid back and friendly!

As a devoted fan of Tex Mex style, I have to sadly agree, but it's all what you're used to and individual taste. I can adapt to Colorado "Mexican" food, but I'll always miss Tex Mex.

Apparently your taste buds are calibrated differently than mine. I won't say there are no decent Mexican food restaurants in Colorado, but if one exists, I haven't found it yet.
