Looking for employment possibilities in Eastern Co/FoCo area. I have experience in all phases of pork production and would like to stay in this field. So far I've come up with Murphy Brown, Christensen Farms, and Seaboard Foods. Are there many growers in eastern Colorado? Any information is greatly appreciated.

Mountain Prairie Farms in Las Animas in Southeast Colorado. Certainly south of FoCo area...but in Eastern Colorado, and large producer. Offices located at 300 5th St., Las Animas, CO....719-456-1166

Exactly what I was looking for, Thank You.
I'm gathering information to relocate to the Pueblo/Lamar area in a year or so with one room mate due to personal reasons. It seems like there's a few producers in the area we can look into. Would you say there is a demand for qualified individuals with 5+ years experience, in this field, and in that area?

I hesitate to answer that one on their behalf. You might contact Bent County Economic Development in Las Animas. The number there is 719-456-0452 and the director there may have some insight for you. I don't deal directly with the company and don't want to give you misinformation.

Midwest Farms is the big (and I believe only) pork producer in this immediate area. I think there are others up around Yuma.
