Well looks like I'll be getting a job on the oil rigs in the area, I have visited Denver briefly and really liked it. Plus Colorado just seems like my kind of place. I'll tell you about myself and what I'm looking for:

Long shifts on and off when on the drilling rigs... Don't really have any interest in living in Wyoming or North Dakota

Mountain towns/hot young single women don't really go together. Your best bet is the city in Denver or maybe even one of the college towns like Ft. Collins.

Jamacou, I think almost any town outside the Front Range will suit your needs. I can't think of any town except Boulder that dominantly "eco/environmentalist", so just pick any of the towns in north-central Colorado. they're all fine.

I agree with Steamboat. However, any of the ski resort towns will have lots of young women. How close do you need to be to major transportation corridors? Steamboat is pretty isolated.

transportation is not really an issue. I grew up in Canada and currently live in Montana so isolation is not a problem. I will look more into Steamboat, thanks guys!

The reason that I brought up “transportation corridors” is because you have to get from point A to point B sometime. Depending on where your job is located, it could be quite circuitous from Steamboat to areas north and east.
