There's an old brewery in the downtown that's been closed for years. It has the most awesome brickwork and architecture, an old gem, which is where I hope the brewpub is going in; if so, I'll be there.

I hope so too Mike. I've wondered why no one would re open the brewery. Isn't it on the historic registry?

That town used to have some really good mom and pop Italian restaurants, but due to the economy, have taken a hit. Same story as elsewhere it that's the case.

They had/have a 3 Margaretta type place on the south end that served some good made fresh daily Mexican food too.

Is the singing Italian restaurant still there? What has left in the last year. I think I'll try to get up there in April. It is a 10 hour drive but I try to do it every year if not twice. I only tried Black Jacks and also enjoy that little lunch place attached to a shop in town. Great sandwiches and then shop at the same time. I've tried a few Italians but not the singing one. Being we stay at the B & B Tarabino which serves incredible breakfast we drive the Highway of Legends and eat in Stonewall little place or dinner in Cuchara.
