Any train fanatics out there that may have a resource that would have approximate times that either/both of the California Zephyrs that run between Granby and Dotsero would be passing by photo ops (Byers Canyon, Gore Canyon, misc sidings) along the Colorado Headwaters and Colorado River Scenic Byways.

I know the start times from the two ends but as there is no stops between Granby and Dotsero, I'd just be guessing on the trains' speed and time over varying terrain. The actual times they leave on any particular day is readily available and I was hoping for some nice photo captures in between. My research indicates that the Eastbound and Westbound CZs "meet somewhere around Dell (East of Burns) or Range IF they are both running on time"... I would estimate this occurs sometime around 3 pm.

Lots of photos out there on line of the CZ passing by the many overlooks and sites accessible by auto but few if any of those contain (or I can't figure out how to retrieve) the needed time stamp imbedded in the image....

Amtrak trains never run on time. Well, actually they do about 70% of the time, but thats by Amtrak's extreamly loose definition of "on time". You would be wasting your time trying to figure out the time the trains would arrive. You should plan on waiting for the trains most of the afternoon, and use some online sources with real time tracking to figure out when you might expect them.
