I lived and worked there about two years ago for an oilfield supply store and made the mistake of moving back to Texas. Now they are calling me back to work with the same company but I'm having lots of problems finding an apartment that's not so dang expensive. I lived in Battlement Mesa in Parachute and paid only $635 for a 2 b/room, 2 bath w/fireplace. Today the SAME apartment is renting for $860. What a drastic increase. However, I think the "boom" is going to last for quite a few more years!!!

Not to sound dumb but what is a GIS? I could give you the number to the store manager that is wanting me back and maybe he could ask around for you! The company he works for is Bell Supply but they are a "child" of Complete Production Services who actually own lots of different types of oilfield service and supply companies. I know they have a web site! It's Complete Production Services and maybe that might get you pointed in the right direction. Good luck.
