Anyone Move from Maryland or Michigan to Colorado? Thoughts?

I live in Germantown, Maryland (near Rockville/Gaithersburg). I grew up in Southeast Michigan. I'm married with a 18 month old son. We are a very active outdoorsy family and we want a great place to work, live, play, and relax. The DC Metro area is just too rushed for us (7 year residents).

I'd like to hear from anyone who has moved from those areas to Colorado (specifically Broomfield, Louisville, Golden, or Arvada). What do you think of it? Pros/Cons? Thanks everyone....this is the greatest forum on the planet.

I grew up in Montgomery County. I live south of Denver, and have for nearly 24 years. I don't know what there is like now, but I know I like it here a whole lot.

Thanks! Anything you miss? What is the best part about living out there? Are jobs easy to come by?

Maybe.
Depends on your work.
Colorado unemployment rate is high.

OP, there are a lot of people on this forum who have moved from DC, MD, and NOVA, and there are some threads already discussing your exact questions. Please do a forum search to find these threads, then come back if you still have specific questions.
