I might be getting a job transfer to Castle Rock, I was just wondering what the commute will be like I lived in Colorado Springs but worked in Castle Rock? Especially in the winter months.

I wouldn't. 40-60 minutes on average, and sometimes you wouldn't get home or to work. Live near work, have less of a commute, and more time to live your life.

Monument Hill, just north of CS, is a high spot and can get very dangerous in the winter with ice and snow. The highway can get closed there, that's why 2bindenver says that sometimes you couldn't get home or to work.

As this thread develops, there will be posters who will tell you experiences of driving in the winter on 1-25 to the Springs. 2beindenver is right, it is not uncommon for I-25 to have road closures at worst or long delays at best in regards to winter storms. And the worst stretch is the Palmer Divide. I know that area well, I have two sisters who live just a few miles apart from each other, one in Larkspur and the other off state highway 105, a few miles away.

Some place low crime, decent rent I.e no more them 900 a month and some place that is a easy commutte. I am single man do done place near a active life scene. Never drive in snow conditions.
