So my wife's cousin in coming next Thursday I just found out. She is staying for 8 days. She misses the sun because she lives in Ireland. Here are some of the ideas I have crossed off so far and some I am considering.

Crossed off

1. No spring skiing.
2. Probably no visit to RMNP because it's too early and trails muddy. But I really want the three of us to go there.
3. Too early for white water rafting, I think.

Strongly Considering

1. Glenwood Hot Springs-I have never been there in 9 years and it looks great a bit $$$. Coupons?
2. Garden of the Gods
3. Pike's Peak-may be too early
4. Horseback riding or just hiking at Cherry Creek State Park
5. Royal Gorge
6. Please tell me downtown locals what is the best downtown top of high rise/hotel restaurant or lounge to have a nice drink and look at the front range?
7. We are going to lunch at The Broker it's my wife's birthday on May 1, maybe stop at Brown Palace for tea time not sure?

What do you think? I am open to suggestions just trying to show my cousin a good time.

TIA

Would she be interested in any of the Denver museums? The DAM has cool exhibits right now and is such an interesting building.

Have you been to the Buckhorn Exchange? (Denver's oldest restaurant.) It's a bit pricey, but a great option for lunch if she's into meat and carcasses on the walls.

And how 'bout a Rockies game?

p.s. Glenwood is so awesome, but you have to go when the park at the top of the hill is open (sometime closer to Summer). There's a freaking terrifying canyon swing and a new roller coaster, as well. You should visit just for yourselves!

And last- totally Garden of the Gods. You can visit the Air Force Academy, too. It's such a stunning spectacle and maybe a nice diversion from all that greenery she's living with...

I will do one for sure, mint requires reservation 2 months out and just went there, capitol is good, and I didn't know you could do a tea tour. I guess I could hit Coors after that for my free beer.

Glenwood is a great visit. The cave tour at the caverns is really amazing.

Right next to Garden of the Gods is Glen Eyrie castle which has an afternoon tea, if that interests her. I have never been so I cannot vouch for what it is like, but I would like to see the castle and grounds.
