Hi all!

We're thinking of moving to Colorado Springs (I have a thread in the sub-forum all about that), and one of our hobbies is going to reenactments and living history timeline events. We're in the Mid-Atlantic now, and this area is RIFE with events of various types, different time periods, etc. If you're interested in a particular time period, it exists here. In Colorado, I've found one timeline event at Fort Lupton, and info on one group who does Rev War era, though that group seems spread throughout CO, WY, and WA.

Heritage Fair

We're interested in pretty much all periods, early, 18th century, early 19th century, 20th century wars, etc. Not so keen on Civil War - to me it seems overdone, and I'm not so into the clothing (it's all about pretty frocks and cool guns). I'd imagine there are Cowboy Action Shooting events in the area, and that sounds like fun. Can anybody, reenactor or perennial fan, provide insight into the activities in the area?

Thanks!
Charlotte

You'll need to travel a ways for this one but it's pretty good, especially if you like Victorian/Edwardian dress:

Durango Heritage Celebration: Home

One of my ancestors who was the county sheriff and was killed in a gunfight there regularly gets portrayed by a re-enactor. They also re-enact some of the other permanent residents of the local cemetery.
