accepting of mixed couples?
Hi, we are interested in moving to Colorado. Here, in California, where we live, we don't have any problems being a mixed couple because it is so common. This didn't even come to mind until a friend brought it to my attention. People from Colorado- is this a normal thing too? I am half dutch and half asian, (although most people mistake me as Mexican-not that there's anything wrong with that), but sometimes here in California, some people kind of don't like Mexicans too much which is too bad. My husband is a blondie. Any neighborhoods where mixed couples are not even a big deal? Any neighborhoods where we should avoid? Even though this shouldn't even be an issue, I do have to wonder? I would really appreciate some advice. We have never been to Colorado , so I'm ignorant in this subject in the state of Colorado.... THANKS! -

Konijn, Hi...I have never even been to CO...but going this thursday and am so excited. I am trying to move there and am from AZ...and I will be accepting of you...sad that you have to ask at all. I think you will always find all kinds ...but many people...tons from California have relocated to CO...so I would think you should be ok. Best of Luck and I hope you follow your dreams wherever they lead you!

Thanks again for your encouraging words. Sometimes I think maybe I'm a little too worried, maybe I don't even have to be. We are thinking of moving to Colorado in the Fort Collins area. You mentioned you were going to Colorado? We are still open where we will even end up. Say, when you come back, would you mind sharing what it's like, the people, the weather, the buildings,etc... -this could be anywhere in Colorado, not sure where you're going. But if this is a little too much to ask, I totally understand too. Thanks and hope your day is full of good cheer. -

mixed couples
Hi you guys! I think you owuld fit in great in La Porte. Lots of people have tottoos and work on old cars. Mixed couple shouldn't be a problem, esopecially if you look Mexican. 15% of the popoulation is Mexican here. You will like it. Emily

No problem
You'd have no problems as a mixed couple in Colorado Springs. I lived there for five years. I am a pasty skinned Irish and my wife is Korean. There is a large asian population and many of these are married to American GIs in town.

Besides the Jack Quinn Irish Pub, which is excellent, can you recommend any more Irish Pubs?
Thanks!

I'm in a mixed marriage and I've noticed over time that if you're ugly, people will like you less. Race is almost never a factor.
