If you are just looking at volume of visits, proximity to DIA becomes important.
Possibly. I think it depends on what clients are looking for. You can also fly in & out of Abq or Montrose. However, for sheer volume you are probably right about DIA. But I'm sure the outfitters in the SW part of the state do pretty well too. Many of those rivers are gold metal waters.

I forgot about Abq. I've never flown out of it but my friends have and I seem to remember that it's 3 or 3-1/2 hours to Durango. No doubt the fishing there is great-I've always been partial to the Weminuche. Tossing a fly on the SanJuan outside of Pagosa, with the fish and the aspens in their fall colors, well, that's hard to beat.

It won't be this year, and probably not for years to come. The severe drought in southwestern Colorado is raising absolute hell with the fish populations, as streamflows have fallen far below what will sustain fish populations in many areas. Many southwestern Colorado reservoirs will be pulled dry this summer. It is the worst conditions there that I've seen in my lifetime (over a half-century) and there is no indication that there will be any relief coming until next winter, if then.

I haven't flown in or out of Abq either, but it's about a 3.5 hour drive to Durango in the summer. Here's an article I found about some of the best fishing in Colorado. No doubt, every angler has their favorite spots, and they are probably all very different, but this author feels Durango is a good place too. I don't necessarily know that it will be a great place to start a guiding business. I still think the OP needs to take some time to explore all the possibilities in Colorado before committing.

I can tell you that for all 4 resorts listed, fly fishing is not a big draw for most of the year, summer is another story. People just don't have that on their mind when it is -20 in January and everything is frozen over.

The main issue you are going to run into on this is that for all 4 resorts, the fly fishing market is already heavily catered for by experienced people that have been doing it there for decades. Not to say you can't break in over time, but it's not going to be an instant job with instant income. The bartending will probably be your main pull for income.

Steamboat is OK but I don't feel it has big income opportunities there. It's a more isolated place and doesn't have the name recognition and pull that Aspen has, another more isolated town. Vail and Breck I would say have more tourist numbers overall and my pick, especially considering tip based jobs, I personally feel Vail is the best, with Aspen being 2nd.
