On the subject of heavy monsoon rains, the past few events here have been good test scenarios to confirm that this solution does not work:

2"Stainless Steel Spring Gutter Strainer (for 5-inch / standard gutters) - Amazon.com

Maybe they'd work if your area is entirely devoid of trees.

Inevitably, the wind precedes the rain, so my clean gutters fill up with leaves and as the water pours off the roof, the springs create a logjam of debris that causes the gutters to overflow.

But the rain is good.

Did someone project this no rain blazing hot, then rain every day after 4. I love the rain but it has killed my camping

Good storm this past half hour in northern COLO SPGS; plenty of rain and hail the size of green peas, lima beans and some golf ball size.

It was fine. In fact in the past week I have only watered it once.

Much drier and warmer today, with high pressure centered over the eastern Great Basin. This will result in much less coverage of thunderstorms and mostly sunny skies. Any storms that form will be isolated in nature and limited to the higher terrain of the San Juans where a little moisture remains, producing more wind than rain. This pattern will continue through Saturday. The high will shift eastward late in the day on Saturday, allowing moisture to return first to eastern Utah and then to western Colorado by Sunday. Unsettled weather is possible late Saturday into next week, with increasing coverage and chances for showers and thunderstorms.

Well since I live far, in Parker, I check the weather before making the 2.5 hour drive to RMNP and every damn weekend the forecast has been 50% rain or more. I did that once years back when Kathy blew the forecast got snowed in first week of Sept, 5 hours driving for nothing except to re-set up all camping equipment to wash the mud of it.

I was in Delta all day Friday working outside, 100 degrees. Very pleasant in Ridgway, nights have been in the upper 40's.

Moisture will spread north from Arizona and New Mexico and spread across eastern Utah and southwest Colorado. isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop over those areas with gusty winds and light to moderate rain expected.
