We are planning a summer vacation driving from Central Texas, near Temple to Winter Park Colorado. Planning on spending the night in Amarillo on the way. Bringing a 3 year old and looking for possible stops along the way, great places to eat on the journey and things to do in Winter Park. Any help would be appreciated.

When are you planning? Crankworx is July 25! It is not to be missed. The kids will love it.

@dude I have no idea what Crankworx is, something with bikes?

regardless. . .I have a three year old too. . .

1) Colorado Springs/garden of the gods is a nice stop. Good german restaurant there too

2)South of Denver you could do a playground stop
Westlands Park, Greenwood Village, CO is a great playground or if its hot Centennial Center Park, Centennial Co (with a splash playground)

3) Denver Children's Museum is right off of 25, and then head straight to Uber Sausage for Lunch/dinner

4)Colorado Railroad museum in Golden is popular in my house

Long drive, you have more guts than I do with a 3-year old
