There is a new Teen Center being opened by the Boys & Girls Club. It could be pretty cool. Also, HS Sports seem to be a big thing here too. And of course family activities like skiing, rafting, hiking, biking, fishing.
There are 2 movie theaters with 3-4 screens each. I would like to see an new multiplex; maybe soon? There is a bowling alley. There is a Children's Museum. There is a paint-your-own-pottery place.

Colder Winters
We have had the last two years....Freaky
but compared to back East ,Montrose weather is hard to beat and you get the 4 seasons. HM

I went to high school in Montrose (graduated with highest honors) and my parents lived there for 45 years. I still have family there.
Montrose is in a very pretty setting, but the town itself is closed and myopic. They've been bought out by the developers and realtors. One prime example is the beautiful meadow that now hosts JC Penney and all. The town's real estate is crashing hard, and deservedly so, the realtors/developers had no reins on them and the area's government bought into the exponential growth fiasco. On another note, stay away from Bower Properties, total crooks.

PS Beware of advice from anyone who claims to be a realtor, they have a vested interest. Just sayin...
