Not likely to happen. Tax money rarely seems to go to where it was promised to go prior to the passage of the bill. This is especially true if the money was earmarked for infrastructure improvement or education. More that likely, the tax money will go to corporate and/or government workers welfare of some sort.

Not likely that Washington would have the same laws regarding Marijuana as Colorado. Similar perhaps, but not the same.

It seems Colorado has been more proactive about the legislation and legality of it than Washington, based on anecdotes heard from people I know in both states. It's interesting to see Colorado setting new trends and making history in this regard as the state is getting the ball rolling on lifting a prohibition law. The dynamic of the state has seemed to changed drasticly in the last 20 years.

Two completely different states even though both have passed legislation to legalize medical and recreational marijuana. I wouldn't take the chance if I were you until marijuana is totally removed as a Schedule I Controlled Substance by the Federal Government I said before.

By many standards, alcohol should be a Schedule I substance (or at least II, III, IV, or V). However, it is a non-controlled substance with regard to the DEA. Other agencies have rules and regulations to control its use.
This is why marijuana should not be regulated by the DEA at all.

The reason Alcohol and Nicotine are legal substances? Because the government figured out they could make big money in taxes on those. Hmmm? Taxing consumables? What a concept

The government knows that it could rake in alot of $$$ by legalizing and taxing marijuana, BUT it would endanger the profit margins of some major corporations that the government takes care of....so it remains illegal.
