The thread is about the recall elections.

Or are you admitting that the recall elections are only about 1 issue?

It pretty much is for me, yea. Gun control. You pass it, you lose. Gun control laws only make sense when it can actually impact public safety, I.e., keeping guns away from felons or mentally unstable.

Passing laws that turn otherwise law abiding citizens into instant criminals is heresy.

So they're only law abiding citizens when the law suits them?

Perhaps you don't understand. June 30th 2013, I could sell my son a 30 round magazine, because after all, it's just a plastic box. July 1st 2013, said act is now a criminally punishable offense.

Can you offer any logical explanation as to why?

One time they reposted the speed limit near where I lived...reducing the speed.
So, to remain law abiding, I reduced my speed when driving on that street.

Laws change. Sometimes the way we want, sometimes the way we don't.

Yes but see, a law like that WOULD have a measurable effect on public safety, something I could support.

So, you have the ability to work toward a change in the law back to what you want it to be. Meanwhile, the law is the law.

And that's exactly what we're doing. End of discussion.

I agree. And you may win. And you may lose. And perhaps, if you lose, you'll act like Weld County?

More importantly, can anyone offer any logical explanation as to how this makes us safer? John Morse can't, yet he pushed it anyway and now the voters in his district are rightfully holding him accountable. Quite frankly, I'm a little disappointed there isn't a state-wide effort to hold Hick accountable too.
