You absolutely nailed it, especially the part I bolded.

Wink Birds of prey

"Our country is now taking so steady a course as to show by what road it will pass to destruction, to wit: by consolidation of power first, and then corruption, its necessary consequence."
Thomas Jefferson

Just what we need, drones that are designed to look like and pass as birds. But exactly what the Spanish company Expal has in mind. Intending to market drones that look like eagles for about 1,000. [1]

One might wonder if this will fly, or at least as intended. Expal claims this camouflage will allow such drones to fly as low as 33 feet above the enemy without detection. Anyone having watched actual birds in flight may wonder if the difference would not be discernible. But what they have in mind, towards profits, and no doubt the betterment of mankind.

There was also recently on the radio news that Deer Trail, Colorado is soon set to vote on their scheme to issue hunting licenses towards shooting down drones. The FAA has reminded that shooting down any aircraft, manned or not, is a federal crime. Some aspiring drone hunters may remain unimpressed.

You go, Deer Trail! I still have getting a drone hunting permit at the top of my to do list.

A for reals bald eagle can fly as high as 10,000 ft and attain speeds of up to 150 mph on a down dive after prey (yah - get that stupid prairie dog!).

I wouldn't think a drone could fool someone for very long who made a habit of watching hawks and eagles and other birds of prey, but depending on how good the camo is, most folks probably wouldn't know the difference from 33 feet above. (note to self: brush up on raptor ID skills)

Also remember that what goes up must come down. Shooting into the air is a recipe for disaster.
5000 feet it's still coming down. Inertia and friction are lot more of factors than gravity.

Wink Rescheduled vote & killer drones

"According to sources, the U.S. military is actively funding a number of associated research projects involving autonomous combat machines and facial-recognition programs that can pick out terrorism suspects at a great distance, swoop in and deliver a missile payload." [1]

Voting on the new drone hunting ordinance in Deer Trail, Colorado has been postponed, as too close to the general election. Now rescheduled, the election will be on December 10.

On a related note, the U.S. military is actively working on fully autonomous killer drones.[1] "Licensed" hunters might wish to be careful, as their prey may be assigned to hunt them as well, and likely with more firepower on hand.

It's also a hobby, anyone can buy a drone and fly it around. It's pretty fun and you get some cool footage.

Do you KNOW with any degree of certainty that the conspiracy theorist is paranoid? Saying that a conspiracy theorist is paranoid, seems like an automatic, programmed response to me.
