As long as the snow isn't too deep on the road, and you don't drive your car like an idiot with your hair on fire (and, quite frankly, I've seen plenty of folks driving "sports cars" that way on bad roads who have wound up in the ditch or worse), then you should do fine.

Are the roads typically plowed often enough in and around Manitou/ Colorado springs to get around sufficiently in my TT or should I invest in a truck?

In most circumstances, road crews do a pretty good job of keeping the main roads plowed. Sidestreets can be a problem, but even then, usually not for long. Especially along the Front Range, snow does not stay on the ground for very long--the frequent warming Chinook winds in the winter take care of that. The big storms that hit the Front Range last winter were exceptional. Truth is, at most lower elevations, the ground in Colorado is bare most of the winter. See the Front Range weather thread for more info.

I feel the same about the 4runner. GREAT in the snow. I have a 2000 Limited.

I have been pulling big fords and chevy's out of ditches ever since.
