The Trinidad City Council finally decided to delay decisions on rec mj until 2014, but broke through the prohibition walls and mayoral opposition by voting IN medical mj for 2014. to be managed by the city, with rules and regs due spring 2014. NM Governor Martinez must be having a fit about that.

Meanwhile, Pueblo County is having public hearings on its rec mj rules and regs. next one is Tue, 9/24, 5pm at the County Courthouse in Pueblo on W. 10th st. followed by another in Oct.

Hooray for Pueblo County! today, they approved the basic regulatory framework for recreational cannabis,
with stores able to open Jan. 2014. Two current dispensaries will probably participate. Four applications currently in the works. Final decisions on zoning/location restriction details in a couple of weeks. some reviewers are saying Pueblo County regulation is a better model than Denver or any others so far. Full news reports to come.

You know what's the problem with these Marijuana news stories?

Not enough camera time of these huge sticky stinky pulpy meaty juicy hairy buds. They should show more buds.

Oh, and DirecTv should come out with an aroma feature.

Best place for potheads to live? How about near a bank? Because lots of money they will need. Better keep your limp-on if you expect to imbibe in the old hippie lettuce.

Medical marijuana dispensaries pay three fees, whereas recreational dispensaries will pay eight; retail store, cultivation facility, infused-product manufacturing, warehouse storage, testing, pot grow size, annual renewal fees, dual license fees, etc.

One of the lessons learned during the repeal of Prohibition was the fact that during Prohibition, booze was dirt cheap and afterword, nobody could afford to get their drunk-on... legally.

I can just hear the smelly skateboarders saying... "Nobody wastes their money on that 3.2 Pueblo garbage."

"The market is capped at 10 shops..." So, with 6 already in existence, 6 medical dispensaries that will convert over to rec as well, this leaves room for just four more... ticktock ticktock...

'pot heads' as you describe them, are a small minority of cannabis users. Much the same as the homeless alcoholic bums you see on the city streets do not represent all those that use alcohol responsibly.

Addicts of any drug do not benefit from the 'holier than thou" judgment. They need help, not incarceration.

And for the record, pot is not physically addictive. But it is mentally addictive just like fast food and chocolate etc.

Backing you up....right over the edge of the west cliff! Name callers are generally people who lack compassion, acceptance, and tolerance, and believe the way they live is the only acceptable way to live. Everyone else is ( name calling time! ).
