Of course it's going to snow Tuesday afternoon because that's when my flight gets in. lol! Then I'm going back to the airport to pick up my Mom Wednesday afternoon, so that's pretty much par for the course

I think from reading most of these threads the snow doesn't hang around for long, but looking at the temperatures for next week on CNN it doesn't look like it's going to warm up much either.

I appreciate everyone answering my questions, it makes me feel a little better. I think Colorado would be ideal for us (still a little scared of the snow though!!). Thanks again!!

The high will be 42 degrees colder on Wednesday (30F) than it will be on Monday (72F).

Like everyone said driving in snow just takes practice. Remember to drive slower, allow more room between you and the car in front of you, pay attention to your sides in case you need to move.

Most importantly... a 4x4 or AWD vehicle in no way shape or form helps you STOP! So don't get a 4x4/AWD vehicle and expect it to save you from bad driving.

Just keep that in mind, and watch out for the moron next to you and you'll be fine.
