Default worst driving experiences

Hmm...

1. Getting sideswiped in early morning rush hour on a two lane exit ramp in Colorado Springs.
2. A blizzard on Wolf Creek Pass, another on the pass to Steamboat Springs, by myself after dark for work.
3. Meeting a semi-truck coming south on Red Mountain Pass when I was going north on an icy spring day, on the narrow curvy part closest to Durango when I was on the outside.
4. Having to detour into New Mexico when Wolf Creek was closed, and hitting a deer about 5 miles south of Pagosa Springs at 8 pm when I thought I was almost there.
5. Sliding into the ditch on Gore Pass and waiting for someone to come along in the winter.
6. Having the steering column shifter come off in my hand while driving up Cottonwood Pass.

This covers from about 1972-current. Actually, though, I like to drive Colorado. You can't beat the scenery and it's best when there is no traffic at all, just you and the road.
