I will be out in CO for Xmas/NYE. Are there any events going on that you would recommend?

We'll probably be in Boulder, however we can be wherever. We have no plans that week, other than skiing in Crested Butte for a couple days.

Many mountain ski resorts hold a celebration on the mountain. I know keystone, with its night skiing has a good one. Evergreen holds a nice one too over the lake, with fireworks overhead while you skate the lake. Downtown Denver usually has a big fireworks display too as does many of the suburbs.. I am sure that Boulder holds one also. Probably a list if you go to the city web page or look it up on msn or the like

I can't even stay awake for the east coast New Years eve celebrations.

The older I get, the better I was.

Going down to Lodo to see the fireworks can be fun - of course there are numerous people who have had too much to drink but they're usually all nice and in a good mood.

If you are going to be in Denver this New Year (2009/2010) then this is bound to be the classiest, most enjoyable event this year: Tango Du Masque. Check it out at Tango du Masque :: Denver's New Year's Eve Celebration :: Dinner, Show, and Milonga. It is a celebration that includes gourmet dinner, wine, champagne, fabulous Tango Dance show, midnight toast, and if you dance some tango or waltz, then there will be a dance too. All in downtown Denver, steps away from fireworks and all downtown has to offer!
