Question Where do I start?

My husband and I are considering moving from TX to CO. I'm a RN and he's MBA. We have a 1 yr old and want her to grow up close to nature, and we're willing to take the big step (financially) to get her in a better environment. Both me and hubby grew up in small towns and love nature. We both ended up in TX and like it ok, but we miss so many things. Now, where do we even start to look? Do we just take a road trip across US and find a place? We have heard a lot of pros and cons about CO (just like anywhere) but we're really interested in the state. Where do we begin? Thanks in advance!

Road trips are fun anyways, so you might as well do that. Plus, you can make it to Denver in a day from where you are. I've done Houston to Denver in a day.

If your husband is getting an MBA, you will need to stay around the Colorado Springs and Denver areas to see a return on that investment. You drive through Colorado Springs on your way to Denver, so take a road trip, see if you like it.

You will be close to nature anywhere along the front range and west in Colorado. It is a great state. There are some communities that are much more expensive than others and then there are communities with higher crime rates. I think taking a road trip would be the best place to start. I would start along the front range (along I 25) and see where you go from there.
