Colorado Live Cams is now closed also. Does anyone have another site that may have replaced it, or has as many Colorado traffic cams?? Thank you so much!

CDOT is installing a number of new webcams around the state on Colorado highways. These are purportedly streaming webcams, however, the general public accessing the CDOT website will mostly only be able to view still images updated every 10-15 minutes or so. Some may not be publicly accessible at all.

So basally CDOT is using tax payer money and not allowing the tax payers to benefit from it? Wonderful

The primary use of the webcams is to allow CDOT to remotely monitor road conditions without having to send employees out to constantly assess road conditions "boots on the ground." It's supposed to save money--taxpayers will probably never really know if that happens. I'm not editorializing one way or the other on the matter--I just know that the installations are happening.
