Default safest family friendly cities in colorado

My husband and I are considering moving to Colorado. Does anyone have information about family friendly cities, that are growing? My husband is a house painter and I am a csr in the check advance industry. We have three little girls. The place we live(Jackson,MS.) is crime ridden and has a poor economic setting. We want to raise our girls where they are safe, have a chance to develope into strong, well educated women. what are your suggestions...HELP???

Hard to say without knowing more about you....especially your price range to buy or rent a home.

FWIW: Big city is Denver, 2.5M people, COL SPGS 500K people. Bound to be work here. Homebuilding in the entire area has slowed, but bound to be work in the area.

Try craigslist for rental rates.

I moved to Castle Rock a couple years back. It's growing real fast -- but still retains its small town charm .. and is very safe. My girls have loved their schools. There are also several charter schools in town if the public ones don't suit you. It's about 30 min south of Denver, but local employment is on the rise.

I would suggest coming for a visit. Now would be a good time, since you live in Mississippi. You will get an idea of the snow situation. Some people never adjust to it.
