Default Avon, CO

Hi, I'm a student from Brazil and I'm going to Avon, CO with a friend to study and work in this winter(middle of Dec. to middle of Mar.). We already have job but we can't find a condo or a house to rent, we looked everywhere on the internet but most of they're located in Resorts Areas, so we can't afford it. Can anyone help us to find a good and cheap place to rent? Thanks!!!

There are a few options. If you get a job with one of the resort companies, they have employee housing. Otherwise, you'll need to commute from Leadville, Redstone, Gypsum.

Once you arrive, there are message boards in the stores looking for roommates, basement apartments, and trailers (oops, modular housing), you won't find online. Don't wait until November, then you're competing with ski bums who will pay $500 for a space under a stairway.

I worked in Risk Management for three years with Vail Associates and loved it. I commuted from Leadville (need to learn how to drive in the snow) as the housing market is quite expensive in Avon. Why do you want to go there?

Default Avon info.

Hi Hailey,

I'm thinking about relocating to become a Personal Assistant, and would need to live in close proximity to Beaver Creek, which is where the position is. I'm also curious as to what salary would be appropriate, considering the cost of living is so high in that area. Any ideas? Thanks!

HAPPY NEW YEAR, too!

What does a luxury rental usually go for? i.e., 2-3 bedrooms, 2 baths?
