I agree. I have lived, off and on, in Colorado for close to 18 yrs. It was cute when I was younger, however, I am completely burnt out on brown foliage; or, little to no foliage. Additionally burnt out on the droughts and a short growing season (we have at least 4 mths - May-Sep). I am only out here because of my husband...once we divorce I will be applying right and left for a transfer back East (I am from Pa). Wish me luck on getting back to real trees and no sprinklers...and, my family!

I lived there for 15 years and I do not miss the brown back ground and the wind. I laugh every time I drive into colorado "colorful colorado"!? But it will always be home to me -I do miss the lighten, the cool brisk air,the stars, the elk ...............
