Best places to live for mtbiker/geologist
Currently I am living in the southeast and looking to move to Colorado for some fun, adventure, and a new beginning . My girlfriend and I are avid mountain bikers and seek to find a town or small city which will cater to our needs. Any advice will be appreciated.

Woodland Park, Divide, Cripple Creek, Victor. Many more, just look at map of the central (mountainous) part of CO.

What about everything else? Commute time? Budget? Place of work?
It is cheaper to live in/near the city for work/living costs and travel to mountains when needed. Perhaps Golden, CO is a place that you may like.

Check out Golden or Morrison if you want/need to be near Denver. Lots of great biking right out your door. Lots of options if you can/want to live further up in the mountains.

Why not check out Durango, CO. It's not only a Mtn biking capitol, but college geology programs come from around the country to visit areas around Durango. Personally I think that would be your best bet.

ALOT will depend on your price range for rent/housing. Some of the areas mentioned above are expensive. Make sure you look at the cost of housing as you do the search.
