We've been told we'd fit in perfectly in Ft. Collins but I've gotten so many mixed reviews on it. We are planning to visit before we make our move in August '08. Any recommendations? Please let me know! And thank you so much for your help! Two more things! I am going to transfer from my school out here, My major is Early Childhood Education, what is the best school to transfer to out there? Will it affect my possibility of Fort Collins? Lastly, I work at the Front Desk at the Holiday Inn, does Fort Collins have a Holiday Inn that I could transfer to? If so, I make $10.00/hr here, what is the pay rate out there? Thank You SO Much!

Here I am again---I would suggest very strongly that you finish your education in Albany. Why??? because you are there and you have started and you can finish quicker. If you move to Colorado you will have to establish state residency to make it more affordable. In addition, you will find Fort Collins is much more expensive to live than Albany. That is because Fort Collins have been in the news as the "best city to live" etc. and it has drawn many people to the area, so competition is higher for housing. This combined with being a relatively small college town has increased cost. You said you would be looking for something affordable but your decisions may give you extra costs.
I know when you are young two years is a long time to wait to pursue your desires but it really is not very long in the scheme of life. If you come here with a college degree from the SUNY system, you will be much more ahead then coming here with no degree; trying to finish what you started (which you may not when you stop) and competing with many others.
Let your desires be ruled by reason.
